Heading home after work on a cold winter evening, looking forward to meeting with friends, or to enjoying a comforting family dinner. A sentiment of anticipation. Excitement. That time of the day when light turns into dark, and responsibilities and plans leave space for shared moments of leisure or relaxation. The unique quiet and suspense that only lies in between these brief moments which split the duality of a day.
AURALEE Fall Winter 24 collection is about pieces that can transition from daily activities to times of entertainment workwear-inspired clothes for a quotidian uniform that easily transforms into a well-turned-out look with just the addition of a handsome coat, or the right pair of shoes, or a quirky accent like the chic version of a dry-cleaning bag, grabbed in haste from the laundry for an impromptu change of clothes before heading out.
Soft-tailored jackets in alpaca tweed with pronounced shoulders and lean citycoats in light melton, and voluminous quilted down pieces offer warmth and protection. Wool-bonded outerwear and wool-double faced parkas and bombers are given a stylish elevated twist.
Silhouettes are relaxed and slightly boxy, alternating with more shapely options for womens coats. Slender, elongated dresses in wool or fuzzy baby camel convey an elegant attitude; jumpsuits made in wool suiting fabrics are styled with exposed shoulders for a graceful edge.
The color palette is nuanced and subdued: calm hues of dark brown and charcoal are complemented by a light shade of beige and khaki, offset by distinctive hints of purple, while vibrant tones of turquoise and red are called in to express a heightened, energetic vibe.
As always with AURALEE, fabrics and textiles have a sophisticated character and unparalleled quality. Alpaca tweed is firm but lightweight, warm as well as comfortable, made from the crisp texture of British wool mixed with luxurious, voluminous alpaca fibers. Bonded Melton is equally lightweight; its given a sponge-like resilience through an innovative weaving technology that imparts subtle undulations on its surface. Melton comes also combed into a thin double-faced variation, consistent yet plush to the touch. Shaggy alpaca, fuzzy mohair, premium wool brushed flannel, faded duck canvas complete the extraordinary range of materials, that give AURALEE a unique allure, where value and style are perfectly aligned.
